Indulge me for a moment...
Close your eyes, take a nice breath in and out.
Next inhale, role your shoulders up to your ears and as you exhale, relax your shoulders down.
Now one more breath in and out. Now just sit and recognize the shift from tension to relaxation.
You've just begun your yoga and meditation journey. Is it that simple? What about all the fancy poses and names? What about the influence of other religions and cultures? What about the exercise philosophy that no pain = no gain? Let go of all of that...don't wait until "you're ready." Start a friendship with your body, mind and soul. You won't regret it.
